SOCIAL IDEAS WANTED!

Do we have any budding organisers out there that want to organise a Social event for Meaders? How about a Ten Pin Bowling Evening? A Picnic on the Common?
Evening at Zeera's? A Family Fun Day for all the Family? A ramble?

Even if YOU don't want to organise it, suggest an idea and I'll pass it round to see if we have any takers! Please email me here.

With the help of the Residents of Austins Mead we can develop this site into what WE want for our Community. You only need to read the MEAD HISTORY to see what a Community can do when it sets it's mind to it. Lets use this spirit and combine with modern Communications and create an Austins Mead Community Website for the world to see.

To make all this work I need your ideas and suggestions to move this on and would ask any resident to contact me on adrian@austinsmead.com. Leave a message on the Message Board or start a Topic in the Topic Forum? Just click the links on the menu on the left.

I've already had some ideas suggested, like the House Help page. We've all called in experts to help with plumbing, electrics, gardening, tiling etc., Were they any good? Why not tell us their details - we all prefer to use someone referred by friends don't we?

I've put in a Classified section - you can use this to advertise something to sell, give away or maybe something you NEED. If it's in the Mead, there's not too far to go is there?

There's a simple Street Map. I intend to put names against houses as people give me permission to do so - just let me know the details! I'm obviously cautious about putting names of children on here - but that decision must rest with you individually.

Please take the time to read the Mead History. Some of you may be the original residents, so any further memories you wish to pen and send me can be added to that page. Photos would be fantastic - I can scan and return them - I don't want people to part with their memories - just share them!
